April 2004 : Lars Paulsen was awarded in the Young Scientist competition - Copenhagen, April 30 .
Lars has measured distance and temperature of two particular stars - 47 UMa - and 51 Peg.
A few years ago, astronomers did reveal that these stars have planets around them, applying the official spectral data,
Lars has been able to calculate several details about these exo-solar systems : planet-orbits and planet mass.
In addition, applying radiation theory from physics, Lars has given an estimate concerning the temperature and life possibilities of these planets.
Lars did recieve a second prize - 8000 kroner - and - in addition - Lars was selected as one of Denmarks participants in the INTEL-s International Science and Engineering Fair 2005 - Arizona - USA . Preliminary details - in Danish.
