Horsehead Nebula
DATA : Nearly 4 hours of exposure time : 3700 Sec L +1600 sec R + 2800 Sec G + 5900 Sec B CCD - Jan 02-04 , 2002 . Apogee AP6 CCD camera - image processing and autofocus : Cyanogen MAXIM version 3.
Distance - 1600 Light Years - this famous nebula is placed close to the left belt star of Orion . This Nebula was discovered photographically in 1889 - and is part of a huge gas and dust cloud - including the well known Orion Nebula. (Click for Wide Field Photo by David Mahlin).
The Horse Head Nebula was recently photographed into large details by the Space Telescope.

Rosette nebula.
Dec 22-23 2001 +Jan 03-04 2002 - our students Bo, Jens R og Søren did capture the well known Rosette Nebula - close to Orion. Distance approximately 3000 Lightyears.
DATA : 2700 Sec combined LRGB - Dec 23 - Jan 04 - difficult conditions - extremely cold.
