Ruler = 5 Arcminutes (= 5/60 Degree). For comparison the Moon is 30 Arcminutes = ½ Degree across.

3000 Sec total exposure time , starting at 2003-10-20 19:42:15 UT, Apogee AP6E mounted at 5 " APO refractor Sky Conditions - high cirrus coming in.

Please notice the very faint coma, so far only a few arcminutes across.

During this image, the distance to planet Earth was 0.482 AU = 72 million kilometers. End of this year, the distance will be around only 0.26 AU.
