Lacework Nebula - the western part of the Veil Nebula - photographers (5 x 10 min)- Sep 19,2004 : Ann Merete, Steffen and Thomas T - image reduction by Thomas. A meteorite is seen passing the image.

This nebula is part of a supernova wave - sweeping across the sky in the region of Cygnus ("The Swan").

The supernova which created the nebula occurred more than 30.000 years ago.
