History : on Nov. 6, 1892, amateur astronomer Edwin Holmes discovered this comet above his backyard in England.
This comet has an orbital period of merely 6,88 years - and did surprise everyone with its almost explosive increase in brightness, both back in 1892, and now again in 2007.
