This year the auroras have been difficult - we
have had several aurora hunting nights with bad weather - and even quiet and calm nights
with clear sky, but no auroras -

However - on the night between Jan 21 and Jan 22 2005, Auroras at last became visible from Denmark.
We did observe the very beginning, with bright northern sky and read eastern glow. However - our part of the country became almost instantly covered by heavy clouds and rain, making it impossible to watch even the Moon.
At midnight, at last, the sky cleared due to heavy wind - but then the aurora acticity had gone dramatically down.
However - here are our images - as the almost stationary auroras did appear , when seen from the large north-eastern forest of Als.
